Here are the steps for adding more garage insulation:

1. Inspect the attic for what is needed to achieve an R30 level. We also check for open wires, exposure junction boxes and any hazards that need to be resolved before we add blow-in insulation.
2. Baffles – Very important. We add the attic baffles around the perimeter of the garage attic, this will help the attic breathe.
3. Add rulers – Each attic gets attic rulers so we know when we have achieved  R30 depth levels, roughly 10.5 inches of total insulation depth.
4. Final Step – Blow in Owens Corning ProPinkL77a to 100% of the attic space. R30 fiberglass insulation will keep the attic warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.
